    THANK YOU PACK

    Your passions

In this thread, please feel free to talk about your passions ! It seems like a good way to know more about each other, doesn't it ?

Personnally, as I said before, I play Guild Wars 2 and love to roam around Tyria with my ranger. I have one character of each profession and I'm trying to do every personnal story possible.

I also love cosplay and I'm working with some friends on costumes inspired by the work of Claire Hummel. We might also do steampunk costumes (my best friend would be an Engineer, and I her secretary / automat).

Finally, any fans of Robin Hobb around ?? I'm re-reading Assassin's Apprentice, and I still love it as much as the first time !

I play Guild Wars as well, not as much as I used to. I play DCUO and at the moment a lot of Final Fantasy: A realm Reborn. I would go back to Guild Wars if I can ever get my PS4 controller to work with the layout scheme. I can only play for an hour or so tops on Mouse and Keys.

I also Cosplay. I have done a Fantomex. This year I have some really interesting ones lined up for some upcoming cons. At the moment. I Have Riddick, Star Lord, and a Star Wars Sith. I am working on Building Rota and a DBZ character I have always loved to hate.

I am an Mixed Martial Artist Fighter as well. Currently training for a fight in June. I also love to compete in Brasilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments and adventure races like the Tough Mudder and Spartan Race

I have played GW2 quite a bit in the past(especially as a magic user), but my number one favorite MMO would have to be Aion; though FFXIV:ARR would be a close second. I really wish Blade and Soul was available to the West, but hopefully I will get a chance at it in a PC café when I visit South Korea this summer.

I personally love reading books just to fall into the worlds and universes created by the authors. My favorite series would have to be The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I am currently reading the Innocent Mage by Karen Miller if anyone knows that series.

Outside of the diverse amount of games (board, tabletop, or virtual) I enjoy and love, I most enjoy trying anything new. Whether that turns out to be any of the variety of sports I have played or casually play or the wonderful physical fun that I always get to have being in the infantry of the Marine Corps.

(and though I have heard about and seen those works by Robin Hobb, I haven't had the honor of reading any. They look interesting, so I might have to pick some up and try them)

For me I play all kinds of video games. Got into this kickstarter cause I love tabletop gaming (mainly Malifaux). I also am really into anime; mainly Sci-Fi and Ninja/Samurai stuff. Other than that like to travel and see historical places/inspiring locations and studying philosophy, religion, politics, psychology, and sociology.

I love video games, and backing projects on KS that seem to have a lot of potential to be great. I mainly play (J)RPGs and Action/Adventure types of games. I can't play first-person shooters or some games where the camera motion is too jerky because of motion sickness.

When not playing games, I usually read. Jim Butcher, Robin Hobb, David Eddings, and Robert Jordan are some of my favorite authors. Always looking for more good authors.

I am also a former Marine. I did 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves and deployed once to Iraq. So many life lessons learned in the military, and am happy to have had the experience before I had to get out because of too many medical problems that kept popping up. That is what happens when you are too tall sometimes and your joints don't like the physical requirements the Marine Corps requires.

As for MMOs, I don't really play them at all anymore. I have only played a few in my time - WoW, Aion, Tera Online, and Guild Wars - but I find that when I start them I play them just a little too much.

Strom, thanks for you service. I am going on my sixth and final year of my Marine Corps Reserve contract finally; what was your MOS? Fortunately or unfortunately, however have you, mine is infantry.

    Thanks for your service also!

My MOS was a 1391: Bulk Fuel Specialist. Was actually a pretty interesting MOS. My height made it a little perilous to say the least; especially when it was windy. I was the one that the pilots called on to prove how dangerous the helicopter rotor blades could be to someone my height, and those shorter than me.

I think people can see when I am standing in front of the rotor blade with the pilot, and they grab it and maneuver it up and down while using my body as a guide to how low they can dip.

I enjoy reading manga and watching anime, reading books in general, and playing video games. I mostly read shonen type manga, and I love the sci fi genre when it comes to movies and books. My favorite author though is Stephen King and I'm very close to having read all of his works. Currently I'm listening to the first book in the Dune series and vastly enjoying it. When it comes to video games I tend to gravitate toward RPGs but I do enjoy my fair share of platformers as well. Also I have recently discovered that I love dancing at clubs with my friends and have taken up doing that on my free weekends.

I'm current Active Duty Air Force, and I'm about to reach my 3rd year in. I haven't been on any deployments or anything crazy like that since my job doesn't really have me going out into the field a whole lot. I have enjoyed my time in so far, and I've definitely seen more of the world than I ever would have if I hadn't joined.

Haha I know what you mean. I have had many a briefing on avoiding the rotor blades when mounting into a Blackhawk or whatever have you.

@Tojoko, I am a little envious. Once I finish my contract with the Corps I plan to commission into the Air Force, hopefully. What do you do in the Air force?

I'm a Weather Forecaster. What kind of job would you be hoping to commission into?
